The VisionEvolution Church is a relevant, engaging church in Fayetteville, AR with a mission to reach people who are either un-churched or de-churched. Our purpose is to enable people to become the person God wants them to be. Beginning in 2006, God began to birth a vision in Pastor Sievert to create a different kind of church. Eighty-five percent of churches in America are either stagnant or shrinking. In the past 20 years, church attendance in this country has decreased by 8 million people. The church has the most revolutionary message in the history of the world, that Jesus Christ came and died for our sins so that we may have life both in eternity and on this earth. Yet with this revolutionary message, the church has been little more than insipid. Evolution Church is determined to be a real church for real people. We will talk about things that people care about. We will be transparent enough to acknowledge that we’re not perfect. We will represent God as creatively as we know how. The name Evolution Church comes from Romans 8:29: “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son.” If God has called us to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ, then from where we are to where God wants us to be, there must be a process of change, there must be Evolution.
