What We BelieveGodWe believe in one God as the creator of the universe. He exists in three distinct yet equal forms: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
ManMan was created in the likeness of God, made to be like Him. Unfortunately, we all fall short of God’s standard for our being. This is called sin. Because of our sin, we are separated from God. Fortunately, God sent his Son to bridge the gap.
Jesus ChristJesus the Christ was the son of God, who came to earth in human form. He lived a sinless life and was executed on a cross. He rose again on the third day and became the forgiveness of sin for us. Christ became a mediator to bridge the gap between sinful man and a perfect God. By his death, he defeated sin so that we may have life in the Father.
The BibleThe Bible is the inspired word of God, written by men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In the Bible, God reveals His will for our lives – in everything from the mundane to the eternal. The scriptures were written for our benefit – that we may know God and follow His perfect plan.
SalvationBecause of sin, we are eternally separated from God by our own works. Only through placing our faith in Jesus Christ may we be restored to God’s original plan for our lives – perfect communion with Him. Salvation cannot be attained through our own deeds, but only through the gift of God – the sacrifice of his Son.
The ChurchThe Church was created by Jesus the Christ to be both His body and His bride here on earth. Jesus Christ is the ultimate head of the Church. The purpose of the Church is to glorify Christ by building the body and by reaching the lost. Christ intended the Church to act in unity. While there may be many different sectors within the body of Christ, we are all one body, and should act as such. While Evolution Church may be different in practice than many other churches, we are unified in purpose – to glorify Jesus and serve others in His name.
